Michael Jackson - Neverland

Well, here we go again, kiddies. Once again Michael Jackson is reporting that his Neverland Ranch has been saved from foreclosure. The loan was bought by Colony Capital, a real estate investment firm.

The $23-24 million loan was previously held by Fortress Investment Group. And we all remember the drama involved in that deal, don’t we? They were ready to foreclose and the property was slated for the auction block on May 14.

But Jackson was in negotiations with Colony. Reuters reports that Colony is “very comfortable” holding the loan and negotiating payment. Really? With whom? Jacko certainly isn’t bringing in the bucks like he used to. So where is he going to get money for this?

We have no idea, darlings. Just no idea. But we do still wonder if someone will restore Neverland to its former glory, or just redevelop it within an inch of its life.

Notre Dame Cathedral is another great landmark that should not get passed up. Located on the Île de la Cité in Paris, the Cathedral has stood since 1250. The church was built on the site of the first Christian Church of Paris, Saint Etienne basilica. In 1960 Bishop Maurice de Sully deemed the first church unworthy of it lofty roll as the "parish church of the kings of Europe" and had it demolished. Construction of the new church began in 1163 and was completed in successive parts. The foundation of the church which was laid in 1163 was commissioned by during the reign of Louis VII. Construction of the magnificent west front with the distinctive two front towers began around 1200. During this time many architects were involved in construction of the Cathedral. The Towers of London is her Majesty's Royal Palace and Fortress. It is located on the north bank of the River of Thames within the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. It is the original fortress build by William the Conqueror in 1078. The fortress is surrounded by a moat with a complex of several building set within a ring to provide protection for the King and Queen. The primary purpose of the Fortress has been for a royal palace, a prison, a place for execution and torture, a Zoo, a public records office, a mint and a treasury. This is a massive complex with many corridors and halls. Tours of the Towers are done daily, but it is recommended to plan in advance to get tickets.

I know. You want to bring your beloved one to a dream destination, you want to spend the afternoon walking through cozy romantic streets and majestic avenues. You want to give that person the best place where to feel comfortable for a passionate holiday. And the question is: where should I travel if I am looking for romantic holidays in Europe?

Well, could be a tricky question but I'll give you some quick answers. In this case, the crowd has had the word. It is considered that couples spend their most romantic holidays in Europe in Paris and Venice. From my perspective, Paris would be more suitable for the refined ones. Instead, Venice can be the paradise for passionate adventurous lovers.

Even if it may seem pretty easy, the reasons why a city can be considered romantic or not are not really established and there are some cities that are not mentioned by the crowd but that I would consider amazingly romantic. One of them is Stockholm, in Sweden, where the lightened city at night with all the islands of the archipelago surrounded by water creates a magic atmosphere that many lovers would appreciate.

At same time, the capital of the Czech Republic, Prague, is another one that can be considered of enchanted beauty. Probably the character of the people living there breaks somehow the atmosphere I must say, but it definitely is one of the most romantic holidays in Europe you can ever take.

Finally, even if I would not consider the capital as a romantic city, a cruise through the Greek Islands, specially with landings and stays in the most unspoiled of them, can be the only peaceful piece of free sand ready for beach lovers to explore. Even if Europe has other wonderful beaches, they are all overcrowded and you will not enjoy the kind of intimate space you are looking for with all people running around and throwing sand on your back.
