The island of Koh Samui is the third largest in Thailand and is fast becoming Thailand's number one tropical destination for holiday-makers looking for beautiful white sands, azure waters and a plentiful supply of relaxation and entertainment. This tropical destination offers a huge range of luxury hotels to cater for every budget and taste, but the villa rentals market of Koh Samui is becoming an increasingly popular alternative. So what kind of villas are available for rent, what rental rates should you expect to pay and how do you find the perfect villa for your next luxury holiday?

Koh Samui offers luxurious beach front rentals, sea-view villas, hill-side retreats and hide-aways set in tropical gardens. Villas are available for rent in all areas of the island though the most popular location for holiday rentals is the busy NE coastline of the island in the touristic beach towns of Chaweng, Bophut, Bangrak and Choeng Mon.

The opulent beach front rentals exemplify the luxurious, tropical living lifestyle available on this beautiful island. Beach villas are typically 4-6 bedrooms properties with live-in staff, chef and a villa manager who will cater to your every whim. Rental rates for a truly luxurious 5-bedroom beach villa can set you back around $800-$2,000 USD per night.

Sea view properties come in all shapes, sizes and locations. Rental rates for these villas range from about $200 US per night for a petite 2-bedroom to $2,000 US per night for a luxurious 6-bedroom mountain retreat.

Tropical garden villas (no sea view or beach access) offer a more affordable option for those seeking a luxury villa rental experience. These range from popular 2-bedroom townhouses built around a communal swimming pool available from around $100 US per night to an 8-bedroom all-inclusive palace for $2,000 US per night.

So when is the best time to book a villa in Koh Samui? Peak season is December to January when rental rates can double from low season prices. It's recommended to book at least a few months ahead at this time, especially if planning your holiday at christmas or New Year. Bargain hunters should try to book up for the quieter seasons of May to June and October to November.

Cheap Holidays in PattayaCheap Holidays in Pattaya 2010

Pattaya something for everyone and at all times of the year. Most people from the West, Europe and North America tend to come to holiday in Pattaya form the months of November to Late February March (High season). The weather is normally cooler and sunny. The beaches are full as are the bars and everyone is having a good time including the hoteliers and property renters.

When you come on holiday to Pattaya, let's face it. It's a cheap holiday compared to where you live and the weathers warm and the people friendly.

But have you considered just how much cheaper your holiday would be if you came in low season? How much more extra would you have to enjoy yourself?

Consider for a moment what is cheaper and the savings you can make. The cost of the flight at least 15% less in low season.

Hotel accommodation. Again big savings to be made. In low season it's not unusual to see hotels offering rooms at 40% below the high season rate.

Property rental owners also reduce there rental rates in Pattaya considerably compared to the rental rates in high season. An example of this: View Talay 5. In high season the average rental is between 19,000Baht up to as high as 35,000Baht for a 48sqm studio apartment. That's a lot of money! In low season you can rent in View Talay 5 from 14,000Baht with sea views. I won't tell the % savings as I'm sure you can see for yourself.

View Talay 2. High season rental from: 15,000 to 28,000Baht for a 37sqm studio room.

Low season, from 8,000 to 14,000Baht and plenty in between these prices

One more thing! When renting your much more likely to get the condo or villa you want. Unlike in high season. If you haven't booked you holiday home by late August you may well have problems finding what your looking for and at the price you want to pay.

So when is the best time to come on holiday to Pattaya Thailand?

Well Dates worth considering. April. Ok it's hot but you have Songkran the water festival to cool you down. If you've never experienced Songkran in Pattaya before then you must come, if only once in your life. Warning!! You will get very, very wet! Prices can still be high in this month as everyone tries to take advantage before low season proper arrives.

May, June and some of July can be too hot for someone on holiday in Pattaya. Middle of July to the end of October is good. The weather is not so hot. In fact its close to the same as in high season. Yes it will rain, as this time of year is also the monsoon season in Thailand. BUT. Pattaya is not like the rest of Thailand. It does not rain for weeks and weeks may be every other day for a couple of hours which cools things off nicely. Then you can go weeks with out any rain. Remember it can rain in high season too!

Forgotten Temples in IranForgotten Temples in Iran
Maybe the most outstanding temples of the antiquities in Iran are fire temples in which Zoroastrians burned fire as a symbol of heavenly light. Every community had one of them. When Arabs invaded Iran, they destroyed the majority of them. Most of the ones that survived the invasion were transformed into mosques. Only very few of them survived this transformation.

Mithraic Temple

There were many followers of Mithras, the divinity of contracts, all-seeing protector of Truth, the guardian of cattle, etc. Some believe that it has been the divinity of Sun, but Avesta, Zoroastrians' book does not mention this. This religion went from ancient Persia to the heart of Europe, ancient Rome, and found lots of followers. This religion influenced other religions and cultures, but died out in its country of origin.

Anahita Temple

Some ancient Iranians respected water and worshiped the goddess of water, Anahita. There is no doubt they have always realized the value of water and keeping it clean and usable. The followers of Anahita used to let running water into their temples and had particular ceremonies to revere their goddess.

Buddhist Temple

Some Iranians had converted to Buddhism and disseminated the religion inside Persia. Specially, some Parthian nobles and princes were involved in doing so. Today you may find some of such temples in Eastern part of the country. The religion is not practiced, but the temples are still standing and open for visitors.

Holidays in KefaloniaHolidays in Kefalonia

I can't give a cast iron guarantee that it will be but that is more than likely what you are going to get on Kefalonia holidays. Will it be hot and sunny everyday? A primary concern for holidaymakers when booking their holidays is the weather. It is absolutely stunning and not only is it the prized landmark of the whole island, it features on post cards sold over all the other Greek islands. Their most famous beach is Myrtos beach.

You will be able to relax on the beach all day if that is your preference. Kefalonia is perfect for this and has some amazing beaches for you to relax on. They want a relaxing break. Given that it is a bit quieter, I think Kefalonia holidays appeal to tourists who want to get away from it all. This means the people will look after you well.

Although quieter tourism is the biggest industry followed buy animal herding and olive growing. It is not quite as noisy as many of the others even though it has a population in excess of 45,000. I mean that it is exactly what you would expect from the Greek islands with one exception. I am not putting it down by saying that. Kefalonia is an average Greek island.
